We had fun. LOTS of fun. We played for hours, fueled by your energy (did you miss the after-midnight session?)

Thanks to everybody who came to our CD release party last Saturday and partied with us. van Idle are extraordinarily pleased with their audience! Also, thanks to everyone who bought our CD - we sincerely enjoy your support. And most of all, thanks to all our helpers, Carlo, Illona, Karin, Lily, Martin, Oksana, Traudl, and everyone who carried stuff around.

We will celebrate the release of our first CD, blue, on Saturday, October 17 with a party and a live gig. See gigs for details.

It is hot at last, at least in Zurich. Although there is no air conditioning in our band practice room at Rote Fabrik, we are working so hard that Calvin himself would be proud.

The songs for our album have been mastered. They have more punch than Mike Tyson while they kept their beauty (in contrast to the typical boxer). We are now finalizing the design of the CD cover and booklet (way to go, Michael!) and expect to send the CD to production at the end of the month. So much excitement!

We are planning a CD release party in late September or early October and are looking for a good venue. Do you know (or own?) a cool place in Zurich where we could rock the house?

As you may or may not know, we started recording for our album in December last year at Zodiac studios, Solothurn. Since each of us has a demanding day job, we were only able to work on the album during some weekends.

The status is as follows: we are done with the recording and we are still missing to edit and mix three songs. After that, the cd will go into mastering and after that, we can have the cd manufactured along with a nice little case.

When will you be able to get the CD? When it's done. Enjoy two or three full moons in the meantime.
